In last week’s Rotary meeting, Rotarian Dan Lobb had the pleasure of introducing Global High School principal Ken Lynch as a special guest.  Mr. Lynch then presented the Global High School Student of the Month Award for October to Justin Ansley.

Justin, the son of Jeff and Tesha Ansley, is a sophomore at Waxahachie Global High.  He is a straight A student who excels academically in all his classes.  Mr. Lynch added that Justin is receiving this award because of his many hours of dedicated service work, especially in October.

Justin represents Waxahachie Global High School well and the school is very proud of him as an accomplished student and a citizen of our community.

In the current year, Ansley has devoted himself to student organizations such as Interact, the high school Rotary-supported club.  As an Interact member he has been active in Trick or Treat So Kids Can Eat and Hidden Miracles.  His favorite activity is Hidden Miracles, where the students serve as caregivers for special needs children while their parents have an evening out.

Although he spends many hours in community service, in his spare time, Ansley enjoys acting and Karate.

Upon graduation, Ansley plans to attend the University of Texas in Austin.  While there, he will be specializing in an engineering or science related field.

It is an honor for Rotary to acknowledge such a outstanding student as Justin Ansley with a plaque with his name engraved on it.  This plaque will hang in the halls of Global High School for many years to come.
